David McCallum

Managing Director

David is an Australian Solar industry pioneer with over 15 years’ experience, He has been involved in all solar facets from managing the wholesale distribution for several solar companies to driving, supporting and project managing various rooftop solar installations projects. More recently; the execution of major Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects.

David spent 11 years as Managing Director of Conergy during which time he led many of Australia’s world-first solar projects including the solar installation of 1MW in remote Aboriginal areas such as Daly Waters Northern Territory, to the extraordinary 2MW heart-shaped solar farm, built on the Pacific island of New Caledonia.

He also led the team to Australia’s first grid-connected, utility-scale solar and battery facility – the 13.5MW Lakeland Solar & Storage Project on Queensland’s Cape York Peninsula.

DEREK MARSDEN

GENERAL MANAGER OF COMMERCIAL

Over many years, Derek has built his solar experience through roles in both sales and large-scale project deployment, including as Project Manager, CEO and General Manager.

Prior to joining True Value Solar in August 2017, Derek was Director/Vice President Oceania at Renesola, where he established the Australian subsidiary and was responsible for distributing more than 280 MW.

Derek has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical License and is CEC Solar installer accredited. In 2012 Derek was the Chair of the Clean Energy Councils PV Directorate and a member of the Clean Energy Councils Solar Leadership Committee.

PETER BLAKE

GENERAL MANAGER OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Peter Blake has over 10 years’ experience within the Solar Industry and has worked on a range of residential and large commercial utility scale projects, such as the solar farms in regional Victoria.
His hands on approach provides Peter with excellent project management skills. He is able to identify every requirement within the project and ensure it happens on time and within budget.

ONUR KAYA

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Onur brings a wealth of experience in renewable energy systems including solar, wind, hybrid and off grid systems. Educated at Istanbul Technical University, Onur gained a Bachelor of Science and Electrical Engineering. Since graduating, Onur has worked for a large range of solar energy companies in Perth, including Alinta Energy and Cablelogic Pty Ltd.

Onur’s skills encompass design, production output analysis, diagnostics, network applications and technical training.
