The GreenPower program is a national accreditation program that is a joint initiative by different Australian state governments dedicated to increasing investment in renewable energy in Australia.
The program is dedicated to both homes and businesses to encourage Australians through offsetting each household and business’s electricity consumption with renewable energy. This can be purchased from 10 per cent, up to 100 per cent. Currently suppliers of GreenPower include sources from solar power, wind, bioenergy, and hydro.
For more information, and for how to switch to GreenPower, refer to the Australian government’s GreenPower website.
