The truth you need to know...
There has been a lot of talk about the feed-in tariffs on solar. Some have even gone to the extent of claiming that solar is not worth the cost without the very high feed-in tariffs. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The feed-in tariffs were designed to encourage people to take up solar in the early stages of the solar revolution. Solar is now accepted and is installed on over 15% of all Australian homes.
As the feed-in tariffs are now down to 5-6 cents per kWh it is recommended that your solar system should be focused on providing as much power to the home as possible and minimising the power you send back to the grid. A home with an efficient solar power system calibrated to the lifestyle of the homeowner can save thousands of dollars.
Many consumers thought once the massive FITs ended, any help from the government stopped as well. This is not the case. The Government rebates are still active and are currently at about highest amount they can be. Let us explain:
