A team at MIT have recently developed a solar power system to meet the needs of developing regions in certain areas around the world. The solar power system developed has an air conditioner built backwards to allow the solar powered system to not only provide electricity but heating and cooling as well. The first system of this kind was installed at Matjotjo Village Health Clinic in Lesotho. However, changes still need to be made with the system to incorporate a hot water power system as well in order to cool down the air conditioning unit.
