On 27 July, the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal released its final determination for New South Wales’ Feed-in Tariff rate. The IPART has determined the subsidy Feed-in Tariff rate for 2012/13 to be between 7.7 to 12.9 cents per kilowatt hour. The rate is higher than the 5.2 to 10.3 cents per kilowatt hour recommended for 2011/12.
This rate is simply recommended by IPART and energy retailers are able to set their own rate. Retailers can publish the rates on myenergyoffers.nsw.gov.au to allow customers to compare the different rates.
