The Australian government is committed to creating a greener Australia with initiatives such as the Clean Energy Future, the Renewable Energy Target, and Carbon Farming Initiative.
According to the Clean Energy Future website, the Australian government will be providing grants to over 25,000 low income Australian homes as part of the Low Income Energy Efficiency Program.
The program will provide $39.8 million in funding with the objective to a number of approaches to improve the energy efficiency of these households, and capture data for future energy efficiency policies.
Successful round one applicants have been announced across 11 projects across Australia including not for profit organisations, welfare organisations, city councils, and more.
